With a reputation for quality and service, this market leading company now has a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and results driven Key Account Manager/Sales executive to join their busy, high performing team. The main function of this role is to nurture existing accounts as well as supporting new clients. Driving growth initiatives, working to achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets as well as providing sales projections to the national Sales Manager.

Your duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Identifying new business opportunities and actively following up potential customers
  • Attending trade shows and events and representing the business in a professional manner
  • Servicing and developing existing customer base
  • Align sales with corporate objectives
  • Responding to all phone/fax/email sales enquiries in a timely manner
  • Preparing sales reports as well as providing accurate sales projection forecasts
  • Maintaining and expanding customer relationships
  • Successfully meeting and exceeding KPI’s
  • Increase market share
  • Proactive outbound calls to existing and prospective customers to generate sales activity
  • Ensuring customer base are regularly updated with product information and new promotions
  • Identify and make recommendations regarding marketing initiatives
  • Stay up to date and informed with competitor activity and future works

To be successful in this role, a proven track record in a dedicated Sales role is essential as well as experience in the electrical space. You also need to demonstrate tenacity and the ability to succeed within a competitive industry.

This role will be highly autonomous and requires a self starter and someone driven to succeed without being micro managed.

Other attributes to excel in this role include:

  • Demonstrated experience (Minimum three years) in a Sales focused role
  • Experience in the electrical industry highly advantageous
  • Channel Management experience
  • CRM and funnel management skills are critical
  • Strong client liaison and relationship building skills
  • Results orientated
  • Willingness to travel- fortnightly-monthly
  • Ability to multitask and think on your feet
  • Positive attitude and the ability to keep cool under pressure
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • IT literate
  • Good administration skills
  • Excellent team player who is positive, proactive and results driven
