With continued growth, this successful global construction organisation is looking to recruit a qualified Accountant to join their busy team on a 10-12 week contract.

You responsibilities will include the following:

  • Exposed to preparing and reviewing of annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy.
  • Exposed to or involved in the annual audit process, including liaising with external auditors.
  • Preferred but not essential experience in the property development industry or related sectors.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel in context of preparation of annual reports.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to review financial reports and suggest changes where appropriate.
  • Finalise accounts for submission to external accountants for company tax return and financial statements
  • Yearly insurance review and submission to Insurance Brokers re Professional Indemnity and Management Liability insurance
  • Annual Workers Compensation Return
  • Review of vendors and purchasing contracts
  • Weekly/ monthly reporting
  • Oversee business compliance requirements

Key competencies for success in this role include:

  • You will ideally be CA/CPA qualified with a minimum of 5 years’ experience or working towards that level of qualification
  • You will have strong accounting and payroll knowledge
  • A professional and friendly demeanour

  • Sound planning/organisational skills
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines

  • Solid experience in EXCEL
